Vanilla Vellichor

Vanilla Vellichor is an ode to anyone who has spent many a happy hour with their noses buried in a book. The word "vellichor" is the term used to describe the feeling and aroma one experiences upon entering a used bookstore.  The sweet, musty, spicy vanilla like smell emanating from the leather bound pages of old books is intoxicating.  In fact, the sweet aroma these books possess comes from the lignin in the wood based paper.  As the pages of the book age, the paper increasingly emits a pleasant sweet vanilla aroma that inspires a wistful nostalgia.

With notes of oud, nutmeg, amber and vanilla, Vanilla Vellichor is a rich and deep fragrance.  A pulpy, woody, unisex vanilla scent who those who enjoy the darker side of vanilla.

No expense was spared in creating our 100% all natural vanilla fragrances.  Each gallon of Vanilla Vellichor perfume contains approximately ten pounds of vanilla beans! Our vanilla fragrances are not only costly to produce, the process in which we formulate these all natural perfumes is labor intensive and time consuming.  Madagascar and Tahitian vanilla beans are hand chopped and macerated for a six month period infusing our vanilla fragrances with their exquisite natural aroma before we add additional layers of vanilla absolute and rare botanical essences to complete the final fragrance.  Vanilla Vellichor is truly an artisan small batch natural perfume and a labor of love.
